Blue Pine Works LLC is seeking an experienced arborist, preferably with foreman experience, to join our team.

We provide the highest level of tree care in east central Minnesota, servicing north of the twin cities to Duluth and beyond. We perform all aspects of urban forestry, including tree pruning and removals, forestry mulching, cabling and bracing, pest prevention and treatment, soil amending, planting, horticulture, consultations, and more. We’re not looking for someone who wants just a job. We’re looking for a candidate that wants to be in the field, learn from the best, and grow into the best arborist that they can be.

Responsibilities:

· Assist and learn tree pruning and removals with precision and safety

· Assist and learn plant healthcare

· Be willing to get your certified tree inspector within 60 days of hire

· Be willing to work towards pest management certifications

· Be willing to learn, grow, and dedicate to an industry and growing company.

· Operate equipment to include tractors, trucks, chainsaws, and hand tools.

· Be willing to climb trees under the care of experienced and skilled climbers.

Experience:
Would prefer a certified arborist or experienced journeyman-level climber/advanced foreman. Minimum qualifications include:

• Very strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and healthy body.
• Fast learner, ability to read and write, ability to learn hands-on and hands-off.
• A good mentality and positive outlook, ability to handle constructive criticism
• A valid clean drivers license, CDL is preferred.
• Certified Arborist, TCIA accreditations, Pest Management License, Chainsaw certifications preferred.
• DRUG FREE WORKPLACE!

This is a very dangerous industry, so listening is imperative. Our crew has very patient, smart, hard-working people and we do our best to not be rude in getting our point across.

· Experience with construction, farming, tree work, logging, or skilled trades of any kind are helpful.

· CDL is a plus but not necessary.

· DRUG FREE WORKPLACE!!!

· College education is preferred, a high school diploma is required.

· Experience at heights, working outside of the elements, and experience with handling critical work environments a plus.

What we offer-

We are part-time (30+ hours weekly right now). We are getting more busy, and the potential for growth is huge. We pay for continuing education, equipment, gear, and a healthy wage starting at $30+ per hour ($30-$60 for more experienced individuals). We are aiming to have a simple retirement, HSA, and health benefits by the end of the year. We offer coaching, OJT, and class time for training. We are a highly mechanized crew and utilize top-of-the-line equipment to try to make your job easier.
