Our client is a fashion accessories and apparel company with a broad customer base from mid-tier department stores to chain & specialty stores seeking a creative Associate Jewelry Designer to join their Design team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k - $75k

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative Associate Jewelry Designer to join the team in the Manhattan office. In this role, you will be working on developing and designing products, contributing your fresh perspective and up-to-date knowledge of current trends to help us create unique and captivating jewelry pieces.

Responsibilities of the Associate Jewelry Designer:

• Design and develop innovative jewelry pieces in line with current trends and brand aesthetics.
• Create detailed sketches and technical drawings both by hand and using computer software.
• Collaborate with the design team to bring concepts to life from initial sketches to final product.
• Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create and edit designs.
• Stay updated with market trends and competitive brands to inspire and inform your designs.
• Participate in design meetings, providing input and feedback on new concepts.
• Assist in the creation of mood boards, presentations, and other visual aids to communicate design ideas.

Qualifications for the Associate Jewelry Designer:

• Fresh, creative eye with a strong sense of current fashion and jewelry trends.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to sketch designs both by hand and digitally.
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prior experience in jewelry design is a plus but not required.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
