About the Role
The Company is seeking an AVP, Senior BSA Compliance Analyst with a focus on Compliance and Financial Crime. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth due diligence reviews and preparing comprehensive reports on high and moderate-risk customers to assess and mitigate BSA/AML risk. This role involves validating and documenting customer risk designations, performing quality control reviews of various AML/BSA/fraud functions, and adjusting the scoring of AML software to enhance the BSA/fraud program. The Analyst will also be involved in transaction testing, data validation, and proactively monitoring and reporting on data quality issues. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in BSA and fraud, with a solid understanding of banking and the fraud threats associated with money laundering activities. The role requires a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset to identify emerging compliance trends and risks. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the Analyst will be a subject matter expert on BSA/AML/OFAC/fraud related issues and will be involved in disseminating information and answering questions. Proficiency in computer programs related to fraud identification and AML software is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have a combination of training and experience that provides specific knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to financial institutions, particularly BSA, AML, OFAC, and the USA Patriot Act.
