Olive Recruiting is looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager with expertise in truckload and open deck sales for our client in Laredo, Tx. This position demands a knowledgeable self-starter, a closer, and a proficient researcher with a hunter mindset. The Business Development Manager will be committed to devising and implementing effective sales strategies. The primary objective is to secure new business, transition it to inside sales/operations, and offer insights while overseeing the business from a distance.

Responsibilities:

Formulate a growth strategy aimed at financial gain and customer satisfaction.

Perform research to Client new markets and customer requirements.

Dedicate 20% of the time in the office, engaging in calls and emails to attract new prospects.

Schedule business meetings with potential clients.

Promote the company's products/services by addressing or forecasting clients' needs.

Draft sales contracts in compliance with established laws and guidelines.

Keep track of sales, revenue, invoices, and other records.

Offer reliable feedback and after-sales support.

Foster long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.

Mentor entry-level staff, transforming them into valuable salespeople.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in transportation sales within the truckload, flatbed, and heavy haul sectors.

Demonstrated success in business development and meeting sales targets.
