Carrier Operations Support Rep Location Vernon Hills, IL :
Description The Carrier Operations role is responsible for managing transportation events and ensuring customer satisfaction. What you'll do:
- Manage transportation events and enhance carrier utilization to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction
- Manages inbound and outbound documentation for drivers/loads for accuracy
- Proactively confirm all future orders have all necessary documents and pickup/delivery information
- Work directly with customers on forward-looking order commitments, to advise when appointments should be made, utilizing SOPS and data driven statistics
- Provide customer support, shipment updates, and oversight for assigned shipments
- Responds to carrier partners concerns timely and professionally
- Works with internal teams to meet customer requirements and communicate service delays and/or issues
- Participates in negotiating rates and establishing relationships with carriers partners
- Maintain data integrity on Macropoint/GPS tracking
What you'll have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience is preferred
- 1 year of experience in related logistics or transportation is preferred
- Ability to communicate with credibility and build customer relationships
- Moderate Excel skills and the ability to learn required software
