The successful candidate will be responsible for refining and implementing the organization's comprehensive strategy, including target market definition, strategic objectives, and the development of new products and services. Key duties for the President and CEO include negotiating reinsurance treaties, determining retained risk, and supervising the leadership team. The role also involves maintaining underwriting standards, managing claims, and ensuring effective sales and marketing functions. Professional development of the executive staff and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability are essential. Applicants for the President and CEO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience at a property and casualty insurance company, with a total of 20 years of professional work experience. Expertise in professional liability insurance, particularly in the legal sector, is preferred. The role requires a proven track record of accountability for profitable results, experience working with a board of directors, and a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree being preferred.
