About the Role

The Company is in need of a President and Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all organizational facets. The successful candidate will be responsible for refining and implementing the company's comprehensive strategy, including target market definition, strategic objectives, and marketing strategy. Key duties include negotiating reinsurance treaties, determining retained risk, and supervising the leadership team. The role also involves fostering a culture of professional development, applying underwriting standards, and ensuring effective sales and marketing functions. The President and CEO will work closely with the board of directors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, and must have a strong background in the property and casualty insurance industry, with a focus on professional liability insurance. Applicants for the President and CEO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in the property and casualty insurance sector, and a total of 20 years of professional work experience. Expertise in professional liability insurance, particularly in the area of lawyers' professional liability, is preferred. The role requires a proven track record of accountability for profitable results, experience working with a board of directors, and a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree being preferred. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a culture of excellence, trust, and transparency, and will champion ethical business practices, customer responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
