Cash Applications Specialist

Overview of the Company and Cash Applications Specialist Role:

• Headquartered in Memphis, TN, our client operates aggregate facilities, serving markets in 20 states, the District of Columbia, Mexico and the Bahamas, and employing over 8,000 dedicated men and women.
• They are looking to add a Cash Applications Specialist to their Atlanta team

Overview of the Cash Applications Specialist Opportunity:

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly reports for all incoming payments and refunds
• Process and post cash deposits, misapplied payments, chargebacks, credits and overpayments to the general ledger
• Apply payments received by various methods (Lockbox, ACH, Wire)
• Process adjustments and write-offs to invoices
• Assist with daily reconciliations to ensure applications are complete and accurate
• Partner with Collections in resolving disputed payment applications
• Work proactively with customers, credit reps, sales reps, plant administration support, and department coworkers to maintain strong relationships.

Qualifications of the Cash Applications Specialist:

• Prior Cash Applications experience is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to build rapport with clients and customers
