Job Summary
Tutu School McKinney is seeking a part time ballet instructor for young children. Applicants should have experience working with children, a dance background (ballet preferred) and experience in entertainment (not required).
Tutu School is a collection of boutique-style ballet schools that cater specifically to children 18 months to 8 years-old. Our mission is simple: We believe that exposing children at the earliest possible age to creativity, movement, and classical music will only serve them well in whatever they choose to do with their lives, that dancing like swans and Sugar Plum Fairies not only exercises little bodies but also nurtures big imaginations, and that twirling should be a fundamental part of any childhood.

As a teacher, we are looking for teachers who love working with young children and are invested in nurturing the big dreams and minds of young dancers. We want our teachers to have a strong background in dance and entertainment, have great communication skills and be committed to our carefully crafted curriculum.

Responsibilities - Lead 45-minute classes following Tutu School's carefully crafted Class Curriculum.
- Take attendance and answer basic questions about class membership and promotions.
- Build rapport and communication with students' families and prospective clients.
- Perform basic retail duties including product restocking and processing sales using a point-of-sale system.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the studio, lobby, retail display, and bathroom.
- Communicate effectively with management and administration.
Qualifications - Experience in dancing with a ballet background is strongly preferred
- High school or equivalent is preferred
- Teaching experience is preferred
