Position Description:

Revlon is looking to add an experienced Shopify Developer to join our Global IT Digital and Ecommerce team. With guidance from our Chief Architect, this role will play an instrumental role in Revlon’s digital transformation, including aligning our brands and regions globally on a single technical platform for our digital and ecommerce initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of full-stack ecommerce development successes, an insatiable curiosity to take on new challenges, and a delight for working in emerging technologies.

Major Responsibilities :

• Play a leading, hands-on development role in the most complex Shopify application development, integrations, and new functionality in Revlon’s Shopify platform used on our DTC and B2B sites globally.

• Create new code, update and re-factor existing code using various programming languages, libraries and webservices including but not limited to: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify Liquid, RESTful APIs, PHP, jQuery, SQL that follows w3c Valid HTML with proper Semantic Markup and WCAG ADA II Compliance.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot live-site issues as they relate to UI, UX, performance, reliability, scalability, regulatory, compliance, and security.

• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams including designers and business stakeholders to capture and validate business requirements and offer a best approach and options to achieving their business objectives.

• Work in an Agile cross-functional team.

• Partner with System Integrators on collaborative development efforts.

Shopify-Specific Requirements :

• 4+ Shopify Plus sites developed and deployed, incorporating custom Liquid application development

• 3+ Shopify custom-built applications deployed

• Strong understanding of Shopify Theme 2.0 architecture including JSON and use of metaobjects.

• Expert knowledge of Shopify admin settings and configuration options

• Experience integrating third-party services and APIs with Shopify.

• Experience integrating with backend systems such as ERPs, WMS, OMS, etc.

• Experience with import and export of products, customers, and orders.

• Knowledge in data migration and synchronization between Shopify instances.

• Current on the latest Shopify features, trends, and best practices.

Technical Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development

• Proficient at work estimation based on thoughtful technical design that prioritizes speed-to-market and aligns with Revlon’s technical architecture vision for our platform.

• Experience working in an Agile development team.

• HTML/CSS/XML in responsive web design, adhering to web standards including but not exclusively, e.g. w3c valid HTML, semantic markup, structured data, WCAG ADA Level II compliance. (Intermediate to Advanced)

• C#, JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery (Intermediate to Advanced)

• PHP, Liquid (Intermediate to Advanced)

• MySQL (Intermediate to Advanced)

• Basic knowledge file encoding and character set encoding

• FTP, SSH

• Visual Studio Code

• CI / CD

• Bootstrap

• Version control systems, e.g. git, GitHub

• Developer tools to diagnose and debug coding issues.

General Requirements

• Deep understanding of the digital shopping experience on desktop and mobile.

• Must be fiercely self-reliant with a winning desire to “grind it out” to solve problems and create value.

• Have a “take-ownership” attitude regarding projects, tasks and opportunities to learn.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with non-technical partners.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• High sense of ownership and accountability.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.

• Must be able to work US East Coast hours.

The base pay range for this position is $118,000 and $137,000/ year; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation.
