Electrician Power Systems, Walt Disney World at Walt Disney World Resort summary:

The Electrician Power Systems at Walt Disney World is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the RCES Utility Plants' electrical systems, working in various environments including elevated platforms and confined spaces. This role requires a qualified Journeyman Electrician with extensive experience in power distribution and safety procedures, and involves motivating teams to innovate and create unique experiences. Basic qualifications include a valid Florida driver's license, ability to read electrical schematics, and strong communication skills, with a preference for candidates holding an Associates degree in an engineering-related field.

The Electrician Power Systems is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the RCES Utility Plants’ electrical systems. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $39.43 per hour.

Basic Qualifications :

• Valid Florida driver’s license
• Must be a qualified Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial and/or utility environment.
• Experience in power distribution, generation systems and associated controls
• Understanding of OSHA and industry standard lock-out tag-out safety procedures
• Ability to pass a role-specific, technical knowledge-based written assessment and interview
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Possess the ability to interpret blueprints
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices

Preferred Education :

• An Associates degree in an engineering related field is desired.
