Description:

Position Overview:

Responsible for the timely repairs of the conveyor system in an automated materials handling system and support the night loading operation of a fast pace beverage wholesaler.

Key Accountabilities:

• Supervise union employees daily activities and hold accountable/monitor their performance; allocate work and ensure the work schedule is completed accurately and timely
• Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
• Inform Manager of equipment issues that impact production
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Ensures timely and accurate completion of workload for assigned area of responsibility while maintaining good housekeeping and safety
• Ensures that established priorities are maintained and resources are properly utilized
• Seek continuous improvement opportunities to streamline production and reduce cost
• Reviews daily department needs with Manager to ensure tasks are completed
• Ensures proper product handling to minimize accidents and safety issues
• Provides regular training and guidance to hourly employees to avoid injuries

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills; ability to provide effective, hands-on training

Education/Experience/Training:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Minimum five years of warehouse experience required; beverage industry preferred
• Experience supervising a multi-union workforce
