Overview of the Role:

We are seeking passionate and skilled Flight Nurses to become integral members of our client’s elite team in Red Bluff, CA. As a Flight Nurse, you will play a critical role in life-saving missions, providing advanced medical assistance in emergency situations. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the swift and effective transport and stabilization of patients, making a tangible difference in critical care scenarios.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform specialized functions, including complex assessments, diagnoses, and emergency treatments for patients during air and ground transports.
  • Document detailed, accurate information related to patient assessments, treatments, and transports.
  • Record comprehensive and correct billing information for transported patients.
  • Facilitate effective communication with management and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in public relations and marketing support activities.
  • Continue to develop expertise in flight nursing, attending mandatory meetings, equipment reviews, skill labs, and clinical rotations.
  • Complete all annual recurrent competency requirements.
  • Maintain an active paramedic certification along with all other required certifications.
  • Operate under the supervision of the Medical Director and report indirectly to the Manager of Clinical Services and the National Director of Clinical Standards.
  • Adhere to the regulations and scope of practice defined by the local Department of Health Services.

 

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of three years of critical care/emergency experience (five years preferred).
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNATC, TNCC, ITLS, or PHTLS; NRP preferred.
  • Active paramedic certification and compliance with all required certifications.
  • Instructor certifications preferred.
  • CFRN certification within 24 months of hire.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Must maintain body weight below 235 lbs.
