Job Title: Hotel Maintenance Technician

Salary: $20-22 per hour, based on experience

Job Description:

Embassy Suites Lombard is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all equipment, facilities, and systems within the hotel. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and internal work orders for maintenance issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with special projects and renovations as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to guest services.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
• Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
