Basic Job Functions:

• Compose and deliver estimates for tree health applications in the greater KC area with the upmost integrity.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding our process and set proper expectations for service.
• Generate referrals for Lawn Care team when appropriate.
• Management and development of certified tree technicians and assist with service calls when appropriate.
• Lead the way and foresee any upcoming issues due to weather or drought and proactively collaborate with customers and technicians on solutions.
• Utilize Real Green database to maintain customer data and schedule tech visits.
• Maintain inventory and direct purchasing of chemicals and equipment.
• Assist with clean up and maintenance of a clean fleet.

Requirements:

• ISA Certification
• Maintenance of a state-issues pesticide applicator license
• A valid driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain DOT certification.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, team, & management – in person, phone, and e-mail
• Must be professional and courteous to all customers, vendors, and Martz Bros. staff.
• Initiative-taker with the ability to manage tree team as needed.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., to climb and work aloft, push and pull objects while walking three miles a day or more.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers & staff.
• Ability to sell lawn and tree programs using a consultative sales approach. Match a service with an issue.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Must be an ISA Certified Arborist. Categories 3A (turf), 3B (ornamental) must be passed.

  Must comply with all company policies and rules including those contained in the Martz Bros. Staff Handbook. Must become familiar with the company’s anti-harassment policy.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

ISA Certified Arborist required. Complete requirements for categories 3A (turf), 3B (ornamental).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to sixty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive, walk around 3-5 miles per day on a consistent basis; use hands to manage or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
