Sonoran Roots is looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Junior Graphic Designer.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
As a Junior Graphic Designer, you'll work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, Marketing Manager, and Marketing team to execute high-impact creative across packaging, in-store displays, social media, email, and more. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment while working with some of the most exciting cannabis brands in the market.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER:
Support the creation of marketing materials including digital ads, social media graphics, email layouts, retail signage, and product packaging.
Assist with developing brand assets and maintaining consistency across multiple cannabis brands.
Collaborate with senior creatives to bring campaign concepts to life across multiple touchpoints.
Resize, format, and prepare files for production (print + digital).
Support internal teams with design needs for events, presentations, and educational materials.
Manage multiple projects with fast turnarounds while maintaining attention to detail.
Stay current on design trends, cannabis marketing regulations, and brand aesthetics.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Pay Rate: Annual salary $43,000 - $53,000, depending on experience
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
2-3 years of professional design experience (internship or freelance experience counts).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Understanding of design fundamentals: layout, typography, color theory.
Portfolio showcasing a range of digital and print work (bonus if it includes lifestyle, packaging, or cannabis content).
Ability to take direction and apply feedback quickly and accurately.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Bonus: Familiarity with Canva, 3D, motion design, photography, or social content creation.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal).
Industry knowledge preferred, but not required
High school diploma or GED.
Cannabis-related education.
