Salary:

SeK ON is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will create clear and concise technical materials, including equipment manuals, operating instructions, maintenance guides, and appendices. You will work closely with senior writers and technical staff to ensure documentation meets quality standards and is accessible to the intended audience.

With over 25 years of experience, SeKON specializes in providing large-scale health IT programs in support of federal government customers including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and National Institutes of Health (NIH). RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Content Development: Write technical documentation, such as user manuals, maintenance instructions, and operating procedures, based on technical specifications and team input.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product developers, and senior writers to gather information and ensure accuracy in technical materials.
• Editing and Proofreading: Review and revise documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Layout Assistance: Assist in formatting and layout of technical materials to create visually appealing and user-friendly documents.
• Documentation Maintenance: Update existing documentation to reflect changes in processes, equipment, or software.
• Learning and Growth: Continuously improve technical writing skills and expand knowledge of industry-specific tools and terminology.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field. Relevant certifications or coursework are a plus.
• Experience: 02 years of experience in technical writing or a related field. Academic projects, internships, or portfolios will be considered.
• Skills:

• • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Basic knowledge of technical writing tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Microsoft Word).
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and graphic design software.
• Basic knowledge of technical fields such as engineering, IT, or manufacturing.
