Manufacturing Systems & Data Technologist

The Impact Youll Make in this Role

As a Manufacturing Systems & Data Technologist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

+ Leading the implementation, and maintenance of software systems that integrate with the upper-level manufacturing and business data systems and the lower-level control systems used to manufacture 3M products

+ Supporting software and process technologies to enable commercialization and value stream improvements

+ Determining gaps and expand high-level troubleshooting capabilities to provide tactical support for day-to-day manufacturing operations

+ Supports key transformational programs: Pacesetter (Factory of the Future, Business Transformation, Data Analytics, Connected/Digital Factory), Total Productive Maintenance, Equipment Reliability, Process Safety Management Technology

+ Willingness to be on-call to support manufacturing operations

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

+ Associates degree or higher in a Science, Engineering or Technology discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

+ Two (2) years of Manufacturing Systems Support in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

+ Experience with: Savigent Workflow Software, Rockwell, SEEQ, OSiPi, C# Programming with MS Visual Studio, REST APIs, UI development, database skills with SQL scripts and stored procedures, SQL reporting tools skills

+ Passion and experience in SMART manufacturing systems, data automation, Industry 4.0

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Team player with ability to work in a matrixed manufacturing environment

+ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Work location:

+ Clinton, TN.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidates relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
