Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to join our team in New York. This role is crucial in expanding our brand presence across all our New York locations and supporting the successful launch of new City Winery venues. The Marketing Manager plays a critical role in crafting and sharing the stories of the City Winery brands. The ideal candidate will excel in influencer marketing, partnership development, social media management, and public relations. You will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing plans that drive business across our venues, that incorporate all four pillars of our business including: Entertainment, Wine, Food, Private Events. You will work closely with our marketing team to build and execute strategies that elevate City Winery's brand, drive engagement, and enhance our regional footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Expertise: Develop and adjust marketing strategies to align with the distinct characteristics of each City Winery location in New York. Maintain a consistent brand image while customizing approaches to address regional needs and preferences. Serve as the local expert on each venue's unique attributes, leveraging this knowledge to refine marketing tactics for each specific site. Ensure that all strategies uphold the core City Winery brand values across all markets.

  • Partnership Development: Forge and maintain strategic relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to create mutually beneficial partnerships. Leverage these relationships to enhance City Winery’s visibility, drive revenue, and support ongoing promotions and B2B activities for each of our venues.

  • Public Relations: Identify the best storytelling initiatives that can help raise brand awareness across all pillars of our business. Help develop and execute quarterly PR campaigns along with the agency that promote City Winery’s events, initiatives, and brand values. Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and manage media inquiries to secure positive coverage. 

  • Programming & Event Promotion: Maintain and execute a regional calendar including but not limited to events, activations, collaborations and promotions. Collaborate with the events and programming teams to promote upcoming shows, private events, and new venue launches. Develop targeted marketing campaigns and promotional materials to drive attendance and increase brand awareness. Work closely with the programming team to create targeted marketing campaigns for concerts and events. Coordinate promotions to maximize attendance and engagement, and develop strategies to enhance the overall event experience. 

  • New Launches: Support the development and execution of go-to-market plans for new hospitality property openings, facilitating coordination across teams to ensure successful marketing launches and enhance brand visibility and revenue.

  • Influencer Marketing: Develop and manage influencer partnerships to amplify City Winery’s brand presence across social media and other digital platforms. Identify key influencers, negotiate collaborations, and track performance metrics to ensure impactful outcomes.

  • Guest Experience & Recovery: Track and aggregate and respond to guest reviews from platforms like Google, Yelp, and TripAdvisor, and notify internal teams for swift responses. Analyze review trends to inform and adjust marketing strategies, and communicate insights to relevant departments to drive positive improvements across the business.

  • Social Media Management: Create and implement social media strategies tailored to regional audiences. Develop and coordinate engaging content, manage social media campaigns, and analyze performance metrics to optimize reach and engagement. 

  • Content Creation: Work on the development of high-quality content, including but not limited to, social media updates, and promotional materials. Coordinate content series with cross-functional departments that will help raise awareness of the brand across each of the four pillars (i.e. leveraging artist content, behind the scenes, featured menus, etc.). Develop and create compelling brochure content that supports the sales team by highlighting key features and benefits, driving engagement, and effectively communicating City Winery’s unique value propositions.

  • Customer Insights and Strategy: Maintain a deep understanding of local market trends, customer demographics, and competitive landscape. Utilize this knowledge to inform marketing strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.

  • Local Expertise: Act as the local expert on City Winery venues and their unique attributes. Use this expertise to tailor marketing strategies to the specific needs and opportunities of each location. Uphold the City Winery brand pillars across all assigned markets. 

  • Additional projects, tasks, duties as per business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on field marketing, brand partnerships, social media, and PR.

  • Proven track record of successful influencer campaigns and partnership development.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content creation.

  • Campaign management, including understanding the fundamentals of various marketing platforms and channels, including social media, print campaigns, digital marketing and email promotions 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to prioritize short- and long-term goals 

  • Genuine interest in the performance of the business to drive results

  • Ability to capture engaging video and static content to be repurposed for social media.

  • Great sense of humor, upbeat attitude and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Enthusiasm for live entertainment, wine, and the hospitality industry.
