As the next Marketing Specialist – Asian Segment Lead… Your main responsibility will be to serve as a primary liaison to the Asian segment advertising agency while managing the day-to-day development and implementation of statewide marketing initiatives and advertising campaigns in approximately seven Asian languages. This role allows you the opportunity to provide strategic leadership and vision for the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the various components of the statewide marketing initiatives targeting the Asian community in California. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience leading successful marketing campaigns as well as leveraging research and data to optimize and maximize campaign performance. Bilingual Position : Must have highly developed fluent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Asian languages such as Cantonese, Mandarin, or Korean. Bilingual Pay Differential : If selected, incumbents will have to pass a verbal and written fluency exam. Once passed, incumbents will be compensated an additional $200 per month. This position’s office headquarters location is designated in Sacramento County. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies. Working Conditions This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California’s current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
