We are seeking a medical clinical manager for our family practice medical office in the South Houston area.

Overview:


The Clinical Manager oversees daily operations of a healthcare practice, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of services to patients. This role combines administrative, logistical, and patient-facing responsibilities, including managing supplies, handling billing, checking in patients, and coordinating patient referrals to specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:

    • Manage daily clinic operations, ensuring a well-organized and efficient workflow.
    • Monitor and order medical supplies and office materials to maintain adequate inventory.
    • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing.
  2. Patient Services:

    • Welcome patients, complete the check-in process, and ensure accurate collection of required information.
    • Assist with scheduling appointments and resolving patient inquiries in a professional manner.
  3. Billing & Insurance:

    • Oversee patient billing processes, including insurance verifications and claims submission.
    • Ensure accurate coding and compliance with billing regulations.
    • Address billing discrepancies and coordinate with patients and insurance providers to resolve issues.
  4. Referrals Management:

    • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
    • Track referral statuses and follow up with specialists to ensure continuity of care.
  5. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise clinic staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
    • Provide training and support for team members to maintain high standards of patient care.
  6. Compliance & Documentation:

    • Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic standards.
    • Ensure the clinic operates in compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field preferred.
    • Relevant clinical or medical office certifications (e.g., Certified Medical Office Manager) are a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a healthcare administrative role.
    • Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Skills:

    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficiency with office software and medical management systems.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
