About the Position :
The TCBH Triage Department is hiring for Mental Health Technician that would provide direct care for consumers of behavioral health treatment in an inpatient setting. This includes participation in de-escalation activities and assuring that consumers are kept safe, assist with activities of daily living, taking vitals, observing and recording patient behavior and activities, establish a therapeutic relationship with consumers, monitor and assist consumers within the facility to assure safety, and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type/Salary:
· Full-time
· Hourly rate: Level III-$17.59, Level II-$16.28, Level I-$15.10
· $1.00/hr differential for working in a direct care setting; $0.50/hr shift differentials when working evening or nights and $0.75/hr weekends
· Primary Working Hours are 2:30pm-11:00pm
· FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
· Primary Work Location/Department: Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health–Triage Dept
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
· Level II-Two years of experience in providing behavioral health patient care.
· Level II-One year of experience in providing behavioral health patient care.
· Level I- No experience or education is required.
Special Requirements:
· Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check.
· Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
· Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.

About us: Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health (TCBH) is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and provides a supportive, safe and welcoming environment in which an array of integrated therapeutic interventions promotes an improved quality of life for consumers and the community. TCBH serves individuals eighteen years of age or older who present in a mental health crisis with or without substance abuse and are determined medically stable.
We will transition soon into our new 140,000 square foot, 106-bed hospital, slated for completion in 2026. This state of the art facility, the Oklahoma Psychiatric Care Center, will feature a 24-hour crisis response Urgent Recovery Center and will be situated in the OSU Academic Medical District, near the new VA Hospital and the OSU Medical Center in downtown Tulsa.
