Job Description

Payroll and Billing Clerk Home Care Location Queens, NY :

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Billing and Payroll clerk is responsible to conduct activities related to employee payroll and contract/patient billing.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

PAYROLL:

X

Initiate new employee accounts by entry into payroll data base.

X

Enter weekly hours for each employee into payroll software and transmit to payroll company.

X

Review and ensure payroll edit is correct prior to distribution of paychecks.

X

Provide follow-up, explanation re: payroll, as requested.

X

Maintain employee garnishee account information, researching, sending out letters, recording payments and entering final payments.

PATIENT BILLING:

X

Initiate new patient billing,

X

Enter billing information into software to produce invoices.

X

Submit electronic claims to clearing house for processing.

X

Monitor claims payments and denials.

X

Communicate with insurance payers to ensure claims are processed appropriately, as needed.

X

Mailing weekly invoices to patients.

X

Mail delinquent payment letter as per agency policy.

X

Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

1. Demonstrates good customer skills on telephone.

2. Word Processing/Spread Sheets. Must be able to use Microsoft Word, PDF, Exel, Outlook.

3. Data Entry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
