**Description**

The Project Manager will oversee project budgets, timelines, and activities and be responsible for contract development for major initiatives of the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination, including establishment of the Coordinating Center for Operational Research for Hepatitis B and civil society small grant program for hepatitis B birth dose.

Directs the planning, development, and operations of a program. Collaborates with representatives from private, government, and international agencies. Plans, executes, and monitors program budgets, including approval of expenditures; prepares annual financial and program reports to external parties with interests in the program. May engage in fundraising initiatives on behalf of the program. Ensures that the program is in compliance with federal and international laws and regulations. Oversees program communications, including development of communications strategies, development of key program messages, production of print and electronic materials, and reputation management. Represents the program in various national and international fora, and actively engages with representatives from other NGO's for purposes of conducting research and designing new initiatives. May supervise program staff. Performs other related duties as required.

The Task Force for Global Health is an Emory University affiliate located in Decatur, GA. Its eight programs focus on building durable public health systems that serve all people. Focus are-as include neglected tropical diseases, vaccines, and health systems strengthening. The Task Force received the 2016 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize-the world's largest award of its kind-in recognition of its extraordinary contributions to alleviating human suffering.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C (HCV) virus cause 1.3 million deaths per year and over two million new infections occur annually. Because hepatitis B vaccination, curative therapy for hepatitis C and other interventions can effectively prevent viral hepatitis transmission and mortality, the 2016 World Health Assembly endorsed goals for hepatitis elimination and preventing over 4.5 million deaths by 2030. However, to eliminate hepatitis, access to effective interventions must improve. In 2019, to help countries build effective programs and accelerate progress toward hepatitis elimination, The Task Force for Global Health launched the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination (CGHE). CGHE, builds capacity for hepatitis elimination globally through delivery of technical assistance, knowledge generation and dissemination, and advocacy among partners united in a community of practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Directs the planning, development, and operations of a program.

+ Ensures that the program is in compliance with federal and international laws and regulations.

+ Oversees program communications, including development of communications strategies, development of key program messages, production of print and electronic materials, and reputation management.

+ Represents the program in various national and international fora, and actively engages with representatives from other NGO's for purposes of conducting research and designing new initiatives.

+ May supervise program staff.

+ Performs other related duties as required.

Project Management and reporting:

+ Provide project management support to major Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination initiatives

+ Develop project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with project partners

+ Review project outputs and deliverables

+ Coordinate feedback across project partners

+ Lead development of progress reports for key patterns and funders

+ Set up and lead regular calls with grantees and key partners

+ Keep meeting minutes and lead communications with all project partners

Financial Management:

+ Draft and update project contracts

+ Upkeep contract management database

+ Review and process invoices and travel expenses

+ Track and monitor proposed changes to project plan, and financial implications

Other Responsibilities:

+ Represents the program in various national and international fora

+ Acts as a liaison to partner organizations and all project related personnel and affiliates, with a high level of diplomacy and tact.

+ Establishes and maintains regular collaborative contact with both internal and external stakeholders.

+ Participates in problem solving and resolution of operational issues.

+ Participate fully as a member of the Task Force for Global Health by contributing, assisting, and participating in projects, activities, and initiatives as requested by management

+ Performs other related duties as required.

TRAVEL:

+ 10% domestic and/or international travel is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Bachelor's degree in field related to specific program as indicated and six years program related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Master's degree in a field related to the program

+ Experience in creating and managing project plans

+ Proficiency with SMARTSheet and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

+ Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail and quality

+ Experience with healthcare delivery in the developing world preferred.

+ Proficiency in a second language

+ Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills

+ Previous experience working on international projects

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
