The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Computer Engineer (GS-0854-14) to work as a Salesforce Engineer – Developer/Architect at Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Directorate of Manpower, Personnel, and Services (A1), Digital Transformation Activity (DTA), Joint Base (JB) San Antonio – Randolph, Universal City, Texas.

Salary range: $123,945 – 161,131 based on experience.

Qualifications/Requirements:

The Digital Transformation Activity is seeking a Salesforce Engineer Developer/Architect who will be responsible for developing and maintaining Salesforce solutions in the HR domain. This position will work as an individual contributor to design, implement, deploy solutions, and enhancements to existing applications as well as build new ones. Additionally, the lead for development strategy and platform development. The Salesforce Engineer - Developer/Architect will meet with stakeholders and management as necessary to define requirements and collaborate with clients to achieve desired results. This position is a critical part of the exciting digital transformation for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) human resources (HR) community. The United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Space Force (USSF) are working to modernize their HR software throughout the entire department. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development and support of the Salesforce application implementing best-in-class solutions. You'll work closely with engineering, product, architecture, security, and operations to apply technical efficiency across the Salesforce Platform.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as computer or electronics engineering, computer science, or mathematics from a regionally accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Professional knowledge of Cloud IT and computer engineering and configuration, systems hardware design and software application development.

Professional knowledge of computer engineering, systems/programs, systems architectures, facilities, hardware, software, cloud computing, policies, concepts, practices, and methodology found both in the Federal government and private industry. Must possess knowledge of, and practical application skills in, major computer operating systems, and networked equipment operating systems.

Extensive knowledge of agency, AF, Department of Defense (DoD), and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to systems design, the acquisition lifecycle, and rapid acquisition sufficient to ensure the implementation of balanced approaches regarding cost, schedule, performance, and risk.

Comprehensive skills in applying systems engineering and enterprise architecture principles, standards, and methods and in utilizing associated technologies and tools to define and execute standards and artifacts for HR information systems.

Skill in effectively organize and analyze information; produce authoritative reports, position papers, and briefings that are responsive to the specific needs of commanders and senior management officials; present clear and concise findings; and effectively advocate for joint and coalition information sharing specific positions.

Must achieve IAM Level II certification within six months of assignment. Baseline certifications include CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO, HCISPP.
