North Suffolk Community Services is looking for a School Clinician - Grant Manager to join our Chelsea MINDeaze team! In this role, you will work in close collaboration with Chelsea Public Schools to provide clinical and coordination services to vulnerable 10-14 year old students and their families within a school based setting. They identify student’s needs through clinical assessment and provide appropriate evidence based treatment to address student’s needs. Interventions are designed to be intensive and immediate to improve the student’s ability to function as a unit both in the school and in the community. You will be trained in evidence based practices and tools to be used to promote positive social activity, positive peer relationships, improved relationship with family, and improved recovery environment and abstinence from illicit drugs and alcohol.

This position follows the school's holiday/summer vacation calendar which allows an average of 3 months of remote work from home.

We are currently offering a $5,000 sign on bonus for this position.

What you’ll do:

  • Outreach and engage students and their families referred by school administration to participate in therapeutic and clinical services embedded within Chelsea Public schools.
  • Complete a written comprehensive psychosocial behavioral health assessment for students identify on caseload.
  • Develop a treatment plan sensitive to the student and their family history in collaboration with the youth, parent, guardian, or designated caregiver(s), and Chelsea Public School with required consent and in consultation with other providers.
  • Establish and maintain weekly individual and group contact with each student on case load with home and face-to-face coordination with student’s guidance/adjustment counselors or entities that may impact the youth’s treatment plan, subject to required consent.
  • Design and implement Family Outreach events educating parents of clinical resources within their community.
  • Participate in monthly collaboration meetings with Chelsea Public School to review progress and barriers of student’s clinical treatment
  • Assist Chelsea Public School in supporting students as they strive to meet their educational goals and maintain appropriate communication with respect to confidentiality.
  • Provide education, advocacy, and support on child and parenting issues and information to student’s families and crisis prevention/intervention in “real time” in conjunction with the Chelsea Public School support system.
  • Provide consultation to partnering agency staff (Chelsea schools guidance and adjustment counselors).

What you’ll need:

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree in social work, mental health or related discipline required.
    • Licensed eligible in the state of MA (LSCW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT)
  • Experience:
    • Experience in providing home and community based intervention services preferred.
    • Clinical competencies in servicing immigrant population preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Must have a valid Mass. driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
    • Bilingual Spanish speaking abilities required.
