Job Title : Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)
Pay range: $70 – $88/hr. on W2
Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possible extension)

As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack), you will:

  • Design and Develop: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement robust backend systems that provide exceptional travel insurance services for guests worldwide.
  • Build Scalable Solutions: Utilize your expertise in large distributed systems to develop backend solutions that are reliable, performant, and scalable.
  • Resolve and Document: Lead the investigation and resolution of operational incidents, creating comprehensive documentation and platform improvements to enhance system reliability and minimize future issues.
  • Integrate Seamlessly: Ensure smooth and flexible integration of backend services with the overall insurance platform, driving efficiency and innovation.
  • Uphold Quality Standards: Maintain and promote a high standard of code quality, reliability, and best practices within the team.

Your Expertise:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience : 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend engineering.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, with strong experience in developing full stack solutions with microservices, SQL and NoSQL, Thrift, GraphQL & frontend tech stacks, e.g. React, Redux
  • Experimentation : Familiarity with growth engineering principles, such as A/B testing, funnel analysis, and customer segmentation.
  • Proven Track Record : Demonstrated success in building high-quality products and effectively solving complex, ambiguous problems involving multiple teams and systems.
  • Leadership and Collaboration : Strong communication skills and experience leading cross-organizational projects, working closely with design, product, data science, and engineering teams to achieve shared goals.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience .
