Overview

At Glo, a Full Time Spa Assistant - Manager Trainee is responsible for overseeing day to day operations of the store. You will provide ongoing support and training, focusing on performance, cleanliness, sales, and upholding the Glo standard. You must possess a high level of communication skills, a positive management style, being the team “ cheerManager .” Glo Tanning is looking for individuals who are FUN, FRIENDLY, OUTGOING, and DEDICATED people who love to be tan and help make others feel their best! Previous sales experience is a plus, but not mandatory. Always be prepared to bring your smile and personality!

Qualifications

• Experience : 2+ years of management experience in a sales role and customer service experience preferred.
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Availability : Open availability, including nights and weekends.
• Skills : Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Personality : Outgoing, goal-oriented, and motivated to help others succeed.

Job Responsibilities

• Sales: Reaches monthly sales goals, assists in training team in sales skills, motivates and keep team focused on the goals
• Management: Employee growth and retention, shift coverage, assist in preparation of Monthly Team Meetings, effective implementation regarding new and existing policies and procedures, training and shadowing, effective follow up
• Customer Service: Ensure team provides exceptional customer service, Receive only ‘glo-ing’ reviews on social media
• Cleanliness & Maintenance: Store Audits must receive 90%, Communicates, troubleshoots and helps repair equipment when capable, Update and follow up daily on maintenance issues

In-Store Requirements

• Full time (30 - 40 hours) is required in salons. Reliable transportation, Flexible and open availability to assist with nights, weekends; works at least a minimum of one night AND one weekend per week unless every team member is fully trained. Available by phone during salon hours and calls back in a timely manner. 

Your Role

As an Full Time Spa Consultant - Manager Trainee , you’ll lead by example, ensuring the salon meets performance, sales, and cleanliness goals while motivating the team to deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include:

• Achieving personal and team sales goals.
• Coaching and training team members.
• Managing inventory and troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Leading team meetings and implementing company policies.

First 30 Days

• Master the Spa Consultant and Senior Spa Consultant roles.
• Complete sales, communication, and audit training.
• Shadow experienced team members.

60 Days Milestone

• Transition into Assistant Manager responsibilities.
• Complete leadership and management training.
• Master inventory management and performance tracking.

90 Day Milestone

• Take full responsibility for salon performance.
• Lead team meetings, coach staff, and drive sales goals.
