Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Surveyor to support a high-visibility Department of Defense project at Arnold Air Force Base. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with surveying experience in heavy construction environments, who is ready to contribute to mission-critical infrastructure work.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a secure, long-term federal project with a highly respected team. Candidates must meet strict security requirements due to the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform GPS surveying and site layout for large-scale construction activities
• Conduct 3D scanning and total station surveys to support engineering and construction teams
• Develop and update TOPOs and As-Built documentation
• Collaborate with field personnel, contractors, and engineers to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain detailed records and quality control of survey data in accordance with project specifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5–10 years of professional surveying experience, preferably in heavy civil or federal/military construction
• Proficient in GPS Surveying, 3D Scanning, Total Station, and Site Layout
• Strong understanding of TOPOs and As-Built processes
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness and ability to work onsite at least 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed

• Must pass a high-level federal background check – no exceptions
• A clean personal and professional background is mandatory due to site security requirements
