RF-SMART Summer 2025 Internship Program

Technical Writing Internship

Jacksonville, FL

Summary:

The RF-SMART Product Documentation & User Experience Team is seeking an intern for the Summer of 2025 with a passion for technical writing and a desire to work with agile development teams. You will be able to fulfill your passion for writing and will compose clear and coherent instructions for various users and stakeholders across RF-SMART Products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops a thorough understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues, and working with managers to discuss technical problems

• Researches and builds knowledge about products, services, technology, or concepts required for documentation

• Determines the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension and writes and edits technical information accordingly

• Prepares or commissions graphics and illustrations to elaborate on or complement technical writing

• Meets with subject matter experts to ensure that specialized topics are appropriately addressed and discussed

• Works with sales and marketing colleagues to share information and assist in creating product collateral

• Revises, edits, or updates instructions, technical information, and frequently asked questions as necessary

Education and Experience:

• Working towards a degree in one of the following of equivalent work experience:

• Communications, English, Education, or Information Technology

• Excellent written communication and ability to explain concepts clearly

• Excellent at Planning and Organization

• Knowledge of Software and Computers

• High Attention to Detail

• Knowledge of the following are a plus:

• Warehouse Manufacturing and Distribution Methodologies

• Content Management and Authoring Software, such as MadCap Flare, WordPress, Adobe RoboHelp, etc.

The RF-SMART Internship Program exists to partner with students to equip them with the skills they need to become successful professionals while they complete meaningful work at RF-SMART, while supporting our mission of transforming our customers and changing lives.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for the RF-SMART Summer Internship Program, students must meet the following requirements:

• Enrolled in a degree program at the time of the internship

• Considered a Junior or Senior by credit hours and majoring in accounting, finance or a related field

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

• Available to work 40 hours per week on-site at US East Office in Jacksonville, FL

• Eligible to work in the United States of America for any employer without the need for future sponsorship

Details of the Program:

• Duration: 5/12/2025 – 8/1/2025 (12 Weeks)

• Hours: 40hrs per Week (9am-5pm Eastern Time)

• Pay: $20 per Hour

• Learning & Development Activities: Approximately 5-6hrs per Week of these activities including: Group Project, Meet the Leader Sessions, Mentorship Program, and classes focused on professional growth
