Overview of Position

We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our Purchasing Team. This person will be responsible for ensuring that the customer, technical team, sales and operations team members are always up to date on the status and quality level of each installation project we perform. This person will use their world class customer relations skills to ensure that high-quality results are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. 

What you’ll own

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through clear communication and strong organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and the Purchasing Team to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of products to project sites.
  • Manage multiple incoming requests from customers and Groove field teams, promptly addressing and resolving issues.
  • Organize and track inventory across various SKUs and projects. (Training provided.)
  • Process inventory returns and RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations). (Training provided.)
  • Accurately record estimated and actual project costs. (Training provided.)
  • Provide accurate product information and act as a knowledgeable resource for internal teams and customers.
  • Balance customer needs with internal business requirements to meet project scope, schedule, and budget goals.
  • Physically load, unload, and sort packages of various weights and sizes.
  • Meet or exceed key performance standards with a focus on reliability and adherence to timelines.

Experience and skills you’ll have

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Minimum 6+ months of recent experience in customer service, warehouse operations, purchasing, or a related role.
  • Strong listening skills and a professional phone manner, with the ability to tactfully address customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills in a Windows environment; ability to learn Groove and vendor software systems.
  • Patience and professionalism when handling customer service issues or difficult interactions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while meeting individual goals.
  • Positive attitude, openness to feedback, and strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Passion for excellence in customer care and organizational support.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
