Overview Great Day Improvements - WordPress Developer We're looking for a WordPress Developer to lead the development and optimize our multi-site WordPress ecosystem hosted on WordPress VIP. As the primary developer, you'll work closely with the business to create and enhance dynamic, high-performing public websites that deliver a seamless and engaging customer experience. Beyond development, you'll also be key in shaping our long-term web strategy, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to drive continuous improvements. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes, templates, and plugins to enhance functionality and improve user experience.• Implement modern front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks to create visually engaging and interactive websites.• Develop and optimize custom blocks, widgets, and integrations to streamline content management.• Ensure all websites are fast, responsive, and mobile-friendly, following Core Web Vitals best practices.• Leverage headless WordPress CMS and REST APIs to build next-generation digital experiences.• Partner with marketing, content, and design teams to develop engaging landing pages, campaign-driven microsites, and other business-critical web assets.• Work closely with external agencies, providing technical leadership and development expertise to support large-scale projects.• Integrate WordPress with third-party tools, analytics platforms, and company enterprise platforms.• Continuously monitor and improve website speed, reliability, and scalability using best practices in caching, CDN configuration, and database optimization.• Work with WordPress VIP infrastructure to ensure optimal hosting configurations• Stay updated with the latest WordPress developments, modern web technologies, and industry trends to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.• Proactively identify opportunities for new features, automation, and UX/UI enhancements to drive engagement.• Develop proof-of-concept solutions to test and validate new ideas before full implementation. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience managing and developing WordPress websites, preferably in a multi-site setup.• Demonstrated experience with multi-location website management and geographic targeting strategies.• Strong experience with WordPress VIP or enterprise-level WordPress hosting.• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and WordPress theme/plugin development.• Experience with headless WordPress (REST API) is a plus.• Strong experience with CI/CD workflows, Git, and automated deployment processes.• Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and implementation of technical SEO best practices.• Experience in direct response marketing environments with a focus on conversions and optimization.• Familiarity with full-funnel marketing concepts and implementing web solutions that support each stage.• Background in direct-to-consumer (DTC) industries and understanding customer journey touchpoints.• Experience integrating WordPress with third-party APIs and marketing automation tools.• Knowledge of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Nice to Have: • Graphic design and UI/UX experience, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or Figma.• Experience with motion graphics, SVG animations, or interactive web elements.• Strong eye for visual storytelling, typography, and layout design to enhance customer experience.
