We are seeking a part-time consultant with Data Engineering skills to help with out Microsoft Fabric implementation.

Location: Remote

Allocation: Part time (approx 50% - flexible hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Data Warehouses and Lakehouse architectures using Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop end-to-end data pipelines and data flows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Perform data profiling and analysis , including inventory analysis, classification, and dictionary mapping to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Work with business users to support data cleansing, enrichment , and transformation initiatives.
• Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
• Ensure data solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise data governance standards.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric , including OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, and pipeline orchestration.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse and lakehouse architectures .
• Proficiency in Power BI for building interactive reports and dashboards.
• Experience in data profiling, metadata analysis, and data classification techniques.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, or other Microsoft data services.
• Background in data modeling (star/snowflake schemas) and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data engineering tasks.
