Job Description

Must Have:

• 2+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Electric utility experience
• Knowledge of Electrical Distribution
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Local to Austin - hybrid model (on-site only 1 day per month after the first month) - open to field site visits as needed

Plusses:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering - not required
• Experienced with PLS-CADD power line design software

Day to Day:

This person will be responsible for conducting analyses to develop electrical design options or recommendations, and to assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications.

• Overhead and underground distribution line design, preparation of cost estimates, specifications, staking sheets, construction units review and development
• Assist with distribution planning, distribution modeling, distribution coordination, or distribution line design tasks as required.
• Complete written reports and routine engineering assignments requiring application of industry standard techniques and procedures.
• May work independently on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.

Compensation:

$45/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
