FPGA Engineer to join our team! Our office is located in Sunrise, FL where we provide highly competitive satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular technologies and services to our government, law enforcement, and commercial customers. As a
FPGA Engineer at BlueHalo, you will play a crucial role in designing, simulating, and implementing moderate digital design modules with a focus on quality and simplicity. You will collaborate closely with a team of experts to tackle complex problems and contribute to the ongoing innovation at BlueHalo.
Key Responsibilities Include: - Designs, simulates, and implements moderate digital design modules.
- Receives instruction on specific objects.
- Receives direction on complex problems and possible solutions.
- May assist with customer or official contacts and communications pertaining specific assignments or meetings.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree (BSEE or MSEE) from four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in digital design.
- Proficiency in Basic Digital Design and simulation.
- Proficiency in Digital Design languages, preferably VHDL.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Technical Depth & Breadth: - Experience with several systems outlined below.
- Subject Matter Expert in at least one area or system outline below.
- Working knowledge of several other areas of specialization outline below.
Technical Competencies: - Software Defined Radios
- HDL Fundamentals
- Familiarity with VHDL is Preferred.
- Focus on FPGA/ASIC design.
- Digital Design Architectures.
- TFS, GIT Revision Control Tools
- Basic C, C++ Programming,
- Familiarity with TCL Scripting and Python
- Script writing to control synthesis and build tools
- Test Benches, Simulation, Automation, Debug
- Xilinx, Altera (Intel) FPGAs.
- Familiarity with the Ultra scale+ family of FPGAs.
- Digital and Analog Circuits
- Testing, debug and verification.
- Basic Network Technologies; Ethernet, TCP/IP
- Microelectronics Design
- Validation Testing
- Using JTAG debug with scripting.
- Design Documentation
- Use of VISIO, MS Office tools like word, excel etc.
- Software/Hardware implementation collaboration
- Work with Multidisciplinary teams.
- Support HW, Driver/Platform & SW teams.
- System Design to meet Requirements.
- System Performance Verification and Validation.
- Basic Modem Design SATCOM, wireless, cellular, & SDR.
- Basic Physical Layers e.g., GMR, WiMax, WiFi, Bluetooth - preferred.
